Jungle Sniff & Search Enrichment Room Terms & Conditions
Mansfield Canine Centre Ltd
Effective from 14 October 2026
Version 1.1
These service-specific Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings for the Jungle Sniff & Search Enrichment Room at Mansfield Canine Centre, including bookings with optional treat-preparation add-ons.
These terms should be read together with the Mansfield Canine Centre General Booking Terms & Conditions. Where these terms deal specifically with the Enrichment Room service, these service-specific terms take priority.
- Nature of the Enrichment Room
The Jungle Sniff & Search Enrichment Room is a private canine enrichment experience designed to encourage natural behaviours such as sniffing, searching, exploring and problem-solving.
The room contains a variety of enrichment activities, hiding spaces, toys, puzzle-style equipment and other features which may change from time to time.
The Enrichment Room is intended as a recreational enrichment activity and is not a veterinary, behavioural therapy, rehabilitation or clinical service.
Customers remain responsible for deciding whether the activity is appropriate for their dog.
If your dog has an injury, medical condition, restricted mobility, dietary condition or other health concern that may affect their ability to participate safely, please seek appropriate veterinary or professional advice where necessary before booking.
- Private bookings and attendance
Enrichment Room bookings are private for the group included in the booking. Other customers and dogs will not be intentionally placed into the room during your booked session.
At least one responsible adult aged 18 or over must be present throughout the booking and is responsible for all dogs, children and other people attending as part of their group.
The number of dogs attending must match the booking option selected and paid for.
Customers must not exceed the maximum number of dogs or people permitted for their selected booking without prior agreement from Mansfield Canine Centre.
Please contact us before attending if you need to change the number of dogs or people included in your booking. Changes are subject to capacity, availability and any applicable additional charge.
- Session times
Your Enrichment Room booking is for the specific duration selected and shown in your booking confirmation.
Your booking begins and ends at the times stated in your booking confirmation. Customers must leave the room by the scheduled end time so that the facility can be cleaned and prepared for the next booking.
Any time reserved before or after your booking for cleaning, replenishing activities, resetting equipment or safety checks is for Mansfield Canine Centre use and does not form part of the customer's booked session.
Late arrival will not normally extend the scheduled end time.
If you arrive early, please wait in reception, browse the shop or follow staff instructions until the Enrichment Room is ready.
- Dog health and suitability
Dogs attending the Enrichment Room should be well enough to participate safely in an enrichment activity.
Dogs must not attend if they are showing signs of a potentially contagious illness or infection, including vomiting, diarrhoea, infectious skin conditions, fleas or mites.
Customers must consider their dog's age, mobility, physical ability, behaviour and any medical conditions when deciding which activities within the room are suitable.
Dogs should not be forced or encouraged to use an activity or piece of equipment where they appear frightened, uncomfortable, distressed or physically unable to do so safely.
The Enrichment Room may be suitable for some elderly dogs or dogs whose physical exercise is restricted, but this does not mean that it is suitable for every medical condition. Appropriate veterinary advice should be sought where necessary.
Mansfield Canine Centre may refuse or stop a session if we reasonably believe that continuing would be unsafe or unsuitable for a dog, customer, member of staff or other person.
- Nervous and reactive dogs
Nervous and reactive dogs are welcome to use the Enrichment Room because bookings are private.
Please remember that other dogs may still be present elsewhere at Mansfield Canine Centre for other services.
If your dog is nervous, reactive, aggressive or has a history of behaviour that could create a safety risk, please tell us before attending so that appropriate arrangements can be discussed.
A separate entrance may be available by prior arrangement where this would help reduce contact with other dogs or people.
Customers remain responsible for ensuring their dog is safely managed when entering, leaving and moving through the centre.
- Leads, muzzles and public areas
All dogs must remain on a suitable lead and under appropriate control in public or customer-access areas of Mansfield Canine Centre, including the shop, reception, car park and routes between service areas.
Please do not allow your dog to approach another dog in public areas without the agreement of the other dog's owner.
Owners of dogs subject to legal restrictions are responsible for complying with all current legal requirements and any conditions attached to an exemption or other legal permission.
Where a dog is legally required to wear a muzzle or remain on a lead in public areas, these requirements must be followed when entering, leaving and moving around Mansfield Canine Centre.
Leads and muzzles may only be removed once the dog is inside the secure Enrichment Room where this is legally permitted and appropriate.
Mansfield Canine Centre may request reasonable evidence of legal compliance where necessary.
- Supervision and safe use of the room
Dogs must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Customers should allow their dog to explore the room at an appropriate pace and should monitor their dog's behaviour throughout the session.
Customers must intervene where necessary to prevent unsafe behaviour, inappropriate use of equipment, damage or behaviour likely to cause injury.
Dogs must not be left unattended in the Enrichment Room.
Customers must follow reasonable staff instructions and any safety information displayed within the facility.
Access doors and gates must be used carefully to prevent dogs escaping.
- Enrichment equipment and activities
The activities, equipment, toys and layout of the Enrichment Room may vary between visits.
Mansfield Canine Centre may introduce, remove, reposition or replace enrichment activities as part of normal operation, maintenance, cleaning or to keep the experience varied.
Not every activity will be suitable for every dog.
Customers are responsible for deciding whether individual activities are appropriate for their dog's size, age, ability, confidence and physical condition.
Dogs should not be forced into equipment, hiding areas or activities.
Customers should prevent dogs from chewing, destroying or swallowing parts of enrichment equipment, toys or other items that are not intended for consumption.
Please report damaged, loose or unsafe equipment to a member of staff immediately.
- Treat-loaded room add-on
Customers may be offered the option to have treats prepared and hidden around the Enrichment Room before their session.
Where the treat-loaded option is selected, Mansfield Canine Centre may use JR 100% Pure Meat Pâté or another suitable dog treat specified as part of the booking.
Treats may be placed in suitable hiding spaces, enrichment activities, puzzle equipment or other areas around the room for dogs to locate during their session.
The exact location, quantity and presentation of treats may vary.
Customers remain responsible for deciding whether the treats offered are suitable for their dog.
- Allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements
Customers must tell Mansfield Canine Centre about any known food allergy, intolerance, dietary restriction or medical condition that may affect which treats their dog can safely consume.
Where different treat options are available, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate dietary requirements that have been disclosed to us in advance.
Customers should check ingredient information where their dog has a known allergy, intolerance or restricted diet.
We cannot guarantee that the Enrichment Room or food-preparation environment is completely free from traces of other ingredients previously used within the facility.
If you are uncertain whether the treats offered are suitable for your dog, please contact us before selecting the treat-loaded option.
Customers may be advised to book the standard Enrichment Room without pre-loaded treats where an appropriate treat option cannot be safely identified.
- Customer-supplied treats
Customers using the standard Enrichment Room are welcome to bring suitable treats or food for their own dog unless otherwise advised.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that food they bring is safe and appropriate for their dog.
Please use food sensibly within the enrichment activities and do not leave large quantities of uneaten food around the room.
Where multiple dogs attend together, customers should consider whether food may cause guarding, competition or conflict and manage their dogs accordingly.
Mansfield Canine Centre is not responsible for adverse reactions to food or treats supplied by the customer except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
- Multiple dogs and food-related behaviour
Where more than one dog attends, customers are responsible for ensuring that the dogs are suitable to participate together.
Food-based enrichment can increase excitement or competition between some dogs.
Customers should consider whether any attending dog has a history of resource guarding, food-related aggression or conflict around treats before allowing dogs to search together.
Where necessary, dogs should be managed separately or food-based activities avoided.
Mansfield Canine Centre may advise that a particular activity or setup is unsuitable where we reasonably believe there is a safety concern.
- Children
Children are welcome to attend the Enrichment Room but must be closely supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
The equipment and enrichment activities are designed primarily for dogs and should not be treated as children's play equipment.
Children should not interfere with a dog while the dog is eating, searching for food, using an enrichment activity, resting or showing signs of discomfort.
Particular care should be taken around dogs that may guard food, treats, toys or enrichment equipment.
Any legal requirements relating to children and legally restricted dogs must also be followed.
- Toileting and cleanliness
Customers must give their dog an appropriate opportunity to toilet before beginning the session.
A cleaning station and waste bins may be provided.
Customers must clean up after their dogs promptly and dispose of waste appropriately.
Please tell a member of staff if your dog toilets on, heavily soils or contaminates equipment or an area that requires additional cleaning or disinfection.
Customers should not use Mansfield Canine Centre cleaning chemicals or specialist cleaning equipment unless instructed to do so by a member of staff.
Please leave the room in a reasonable condition for cleaning and resetting following your session.
- Care of the facility
Please treat the Enrichment Room, enrichment equipment, toys, fixtures and other facilities with reasonable care.
Normal wear and tear is expected.
Dogs must not be allowed to deliberately chew, destroy, pull apart or repeatedly damage equipment where this can reasonably be prevented through supervision.
Customers should redirect or stop destructive behaviour promptly.
A reasonable cleaning, repair or replacement charge may be applied where excessive or avoidable damage is caused through deliberate misuse, negligence or failure to supervise. Any charge will reflect the reasonable loss or cost incurred.
Serious or repeated misuse of the facility, deliberate damage or abusive behaviour towards staff may result in a session being ended and/or future bookings being refused.
- Normal risks of canine enrichment
Canine enrichment activities involve normal risks associated with dogs exploring, searching, playing and interacting with equipment.
These may include slips, trips, bumps, scratches, minor collisions, ingestion of food and interaction with toys or equipment.
Customers should supervise their dog carefully and consider their dog's individual physical ability, confidence, behaviour and dietary needs.
Mansfield Canine Centre is not responsible for loss, injury or damage that could not reasonably have been foreseen or that arises from a customer's failure to supervise, disclose relevant information or follow reasonable safety instructions.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
- Cancellations and rescheduling
Cancellations and requests to reschedule are subject to the Mansfield Canine Centre General Booking Terms & Conditions.
The applicable cancellation notice period and refund arrangements will be those stated in the General Booking Terms & Conditions and/or shown during the booking process.
Late arrival, failure to attend or failure to use the full duration of a booked session does not normally entitle the customer to a refund or extension.
- Photography, video and CCTV
The photography, video, marketing and CCTV provisions contained within the Mansfield Canine Centre General Booking Terms & Conditions also apply to Enrichment Room bookings.
Photographs or video may occasionally be taken during visits and may be used, where lawful, for Mansfield Canine Centre websites, social media, advertising, promotional materials or other marketing purposes.
If you do not want yourself, a child or another person in your party, or your dog to be included in photographs or video used for media or marketing, please tell a member of the Mansfield Canine Centre team before or during your visit.
We will respect reasonable opt-out requests.
