Mansfield Canine Centre - General Terms & Conditions

Mansfield Canine Centre - General Terms & Conditions

Mansfield Canine Centre General Booking Terms & Conditions

Mansfield Canine Centre Ltd

Effective from 14 October 2026
Version 1.4

These General Booking Terms & Conditions apply to bookings made with Mansfield Canine Centre Ltd and should be read together with any service-specific Terms & Conditions shown during the booking process.

  1. About these terms

These terms apply to bookings made online, by telephone, WhatsApp, email or in person.

By completing a booking, the person making the booking confirms that they have authority to make the booking for everyone and every dog included in it, and that the information supplied is accurate.

Where a service has additional or service-specific Terms & Conditions, those terms also apply. If there is a conflict relating to a service-specific matter, the service-specific terms will take priority.

Where these terms are accepted electronically, including by ticking a required agreement box during online booking, that acceptance forms part of the booking record and confirms the customer's agreement to the terms applicable to that booking.

  1. Bookings and confirmation

A booking is only secured once Mansfield Canine Centre has accepted it and any required payment, deposit or payment authorisation has been received.

An automated acknowledgement does not override our right to review or correct a booking where there is an obvious error, availability issue or safety concern.

Customers are responsible for checking their booking confirmation, including the service, date, time, number of dogs and any selected options or add-ons, and for contacting us promptly if anything is incorrect.

  1. Prices and payment

Prices shown at the time of booking are the prices payable for that booking and include VAT where applicable.

Payment requirements may vary by service and will be shown during the booking process.

Where payment is authorised rather than immediately captured, the booking may remain subject to review until Mansfield Canine Centre confirms it.

We may cancel a booking if payment cannot be successfully processed.

  1. Cancellations, rescheduling and no-shows

Unless different service-specific terms are stated, cancellations or requests to reschedule must be made at least 24 hours before the booked start time to be eligible for a refund.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, missed appointments and no-shows are normally non-refundable, unless Mansfield Canine Centre agrees otherwise.

Where a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours' notice, we will make reasonable efforts to fill the cancelled appointment time. If the cancelled slot is subsequently filled by another paying customer, we will issue a refund for the cancelled service. We cannot guarantee that a cancelled slot will be rebooked.

Where a refund is due, it will normally be returned to the original payment method. Processing times are controlled partly by the payment provider and the customer's bank.

Nothing in these terms affects any statutory cancellation or refund rights that apply to the booking.

  1. Late arrival

Customers should arrive in sufficient time for their booking.

If you arrive late, your booking may still need to finish at the original scheduled end time so that later customers are not affected.

If a late arrival means the service can no longer be provided safely or reasonably, we may have to shorten or cancel the session. A refund is not guaranteed where the missed time is caused by the customer's late arrival.

  1. Dogs, health and suitability

Customers must provide accurate information about each dog's health, behaviour, needs and suitability for the service being booked.

Relevant injuries, medical conditions, contagious illness, behavioural concerns, reactivity, aggression, pregnancy or other circumstances that could affect safety must be disclosed where applicable.

Unless the booked service is specifically intended to provide professional treatment or rehabilitation, customers should only bring dogs that are fit and well enough to take part in the booked activity.

Dogs showing signs of a potentially contagious condition must not attend the centre. This includes, for example, fleas, mites, infectious skin conditions, vomiting, diarrhoea or other symptoms that may present an infection risk.

If you are unsure whether your dog should attend, please contact us before your booking.

Mansfield Canine Centre reserves the right to refuse or stop a service where a dog appears unwell or may pose a health risk to other dogs or people.

Mansfield Canine Centre may refuse, stop or alter a service if we reasonably believe continuing would be unsafe or unsuitable for a dog, customer, member of staff or other person.

All dogs must remain on a suitable lead and under appropriate control in public or customer-access areas of the centre, including the shop and car park, until they are inside the relevant secure service area and it is appropriate for the lead to be removed.

Owners of dogs subject to legal restrictions are responsible for complying with all current legal requirements and any conditions attached to an exemption or other legal permission.

Exempt XL Bully type dogs must remain on a lead and be muzzled in public or customer-access areas, including the shop and car park. Leads and muzzles may only be removed once the dog is inside a secure service area where this is legally permitted and appropriate for the booked service.

Mansfield Canine Centre may request reasonable evidence of legal compliance where necessary.

  1. Customer responsibility and supervision

Customers remain responsible for their dogs while attending owner-supervised or owner-participation services, except to the extent that a dog has been formally placed into the care of a member of our team as part of the booked service.

Dogs must be kept under appropriate control and customers must follow reasonable instructions from staff.

Children and additional visitors must comply with any age, supervision or capacity rules stated for the service.

  1. Behaviour, safety and right to refuse service

We want the centre to be safe and welcoming.

Mansfield Canine Centre may refuse entry, stop a session or ask a customer to leave where there is unsafe, abusive, threatening or seriously disruptive behaviour, where instructions are repeatedly ignored, or where a dog presents an undisclosed safety risk.

Where a booking is ended because these terms or service-specific safety rules have been materially breached, a refund may not be provided.

  1. Cleaning, damage and use of facilities

Customers must treat the centre, equipment and facilities with reasonable care and follow any cleaning or hygiene instructions provided for the service.

Customers may be charged the reasonable cost of cleaning, repair or replacement where damage or exceptional cleaning is caused deliberately, negligently, or through failure to follow clear instructions.

Any specific charges stated in service-specific Terms & Conditions also apply.

  1. Changes to dogs, attendees or booking details

Please contact us before attending if you need to change the number of dogs, attendees or other booking details.

Changes are subject to service capacity, eligibility, price differences and availability, and cannot always be accommodated.

  1. Cancellations or changes by Mansfield Canine Centre

Occasionally we may need to change or cancel a booking because of staff illness, equipment failure, maintenance, extreme weather or temperature, utility failure, safety concerns or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If we cancel a booking and cannot provide a reasonable alternative, we will offer an appropriate reschedule or refund for the affected service.

We are not responsible for consequential costs such as travel, accommodation or loss of earnings unless required by law.

  1. Risk and liability

Canine activities can involve normal and unavoidable risks, including slips, falls, scratches, minor collisions, water-related activity and interaction with equipment.

Customers should consider whether the booked activity is suitable for themselves and their dog and follow all safety instructions.

Mansfield Canine Centre is not responsible for loss or damage that could not reasonably have been foreseen, or for loss arising from information a customer failed to disclose.

Personal belongings are brought onto the premises at the owner's risk, except where loss or damage is caused by our negligence.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

  1. Personal data and CCTV

We use personal information supplied during booking to administer bookings, provide services, communicate with customers, process payments and meet legal or operational requirements.

Personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection law.

CCTV may operate at the centre for safety, security and the protection of customers, staff, dogs and property. CCTV footage will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.

  1. Photography and marketing

Photographs and video may be taken during visits to Mansfield Canine Centre and may be used, where lawful, for our website, social media, advertising, promotional materials and other media or marketing purposes.

If you do not want yourself, any child or other person in your party, or your dog to be included in photographs or video used for media or marketing, please tell a member of the Mansfield Canine Centre team before or during your visit. We will respect reasonable opt-out requests.

Customers who provide photographs, videos or other content to Mansfield Canine Centre for publication confirm that they have the right to provide that content and any permissions reasonably required for us to use it as agreed.

  1. Events beyond reasonable control

We will not be responsible for failing to provide a service where this is caused by an event genuinely outside our reasonable control.

We will, however, take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and deal fairly with affected bookings.

  1. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time.

The version in force when a booking is made will normally apply to that booking, although we may make reasonable changes where required by law, regulation or an urgent safety issue.

The effective date and version number shown at the top of this document identify the current published version.

  1. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Customers retain any mandatory consumer rights concerning the court or jurisdiction in which a dispute may be brought.
